Apple Tree/Apple Orchard

Priority. Students needing care five days a week are given priority for Apple Tree/Apple Orchard/MASH enrollment. We do not offer an annual one-day-a-week program. If your child needs care one day per week, you will be asked to pay on a Drop-In basis (see below). Space is limited by our license.

Adding Days/Sessions. An additional fee will be charged when your child attends Apple Orchard for more sessions than is paid for in the annual fee. Please refer to our Drop-In Rates below.

Payment. The fee for Drop-In Care is paid to the Apple Orchard staff by check on the day that services are provided for your child. A $5 late fee will be charged for any drop-in fees not received on the day the services are provided.

Late Pick-Up Fees. Late fees begin accruing at the end of your child’s session, either at 3:01 p.m. or 6:01 p.m. Any child who is picked up after their designated time will be charged $25.00 per 15 minutes or fraction thereof. Late pick-up fees are to be paid, by check, to the closing teacher at the time of pick-up.

Notification. The Apple Orchard staff need to receive a request in writing or via e-mail two days prior to the day your child will need care. A space for your child is not guaranteed until you have received confirmation from the Apple Orchard staff. In the case of urgent need, please call (408) 694-6146 to check if space is available that day. We will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.

Schedule Changes. Multiple schedule changes may be subject to a change fee of up to $50 per change.

Drop-In Rates. $40 per session or $15 per hour.

Availability. Priority for Drop-In Care will be given to students enrolled in the Apple Orchard Program. Drop-In Care is only available if we have space in the program.

General Procedures

Sign In/Out. Children will only be admitted to Apple Orchard after a parent or authorized person signs the student in. Children will not be allowed to leave Apple Orchard until a parent or authorized person signs the child out. The sign in/out form will be kept next to the front door.

Middle School Activities, Sports & Homework (MASH)
