From Our Head of School
This is Almaden Country Day School's 38th year of shaping confident, balanced, eager learners. Although we are in the midst of an unprecedented public health crisis, our staff and families are united in our goal of keeping the community safe while providing a rich program of continuing instruction until we can re-open our campus.
ACDS students will access our custom-built, interactive Continuous Learning e-platform until public health agencies allow for us to return to campus.
Throughout this phase of online learning, our instructional objectives remain the same as with our on-campus classes: We will ensure that every child is stimulated, challenged, and cared for, every day. Our goal is to continue emphasizing the balance of academic rigor, joy, and character that have defined the ACDS learning experience since 1982.
We have also temporarily suspended on-campus tours and shadow dates, but we continue to field calls and emails about applications for the 2020-21 school year as well as mid-year transfers. Please contact Mary Jo Heindel, Director of Admissions and Outreach, if you'd like to learn more about our school and the admission process.
One of the tremendous assets of our school is our close-knit, caring community. Together our staff and families embody cooperation, resilience, and kindness, especially during this increasingly uncertain time. The children are watching us; our calm resolve and optimism will simultaneously model leadership for them and help carry us through the challenges ahead, together.
Please enjoy exploring our website, and contact us if you'd like to learn more.
