Scholars Invitational Tournament Results

The Almaden Country Day School Speech and Debate Team participated in the Scholars Invitational held on December 12th, 2021. This tournament allowed both Middle School and High School entries. After three rounds of competition, medals were awarded to the top students. Hannah Green '22 was a double gold medalist in Declamation and Humorous Interpretation events. Also earning gold medals were Maanasi Keralapura '22 in Original Oratory, and Allison Ellis '22 in Declamation. In the Original Oratory event, Leo Billante '22 was awarded a silver medal, while Ryan Wilkinson '23 earned a bronze medal. In Storytelling, Harper Buck was awarded a bronze medal for her retelling of "The True Story of The Three Little Pigs".  Delivering an informative speech on "Giving Credit where Credit is Due", Sarah Vender '23 received a bronze medal. Sixth grader, Abigail Peterson '24 presented a Declamation titled, "How Feminism Taught me to Care for the Boys We Raise" and earned a bronze medal. What a fantastic weekend for the team!
