Almaden Country Day School wins gold

Almaden Country Day School was voted a Gold Medal Winner for "Best Private Elementary School" by Silicon Valley parents for Bay Area Parent magazine.

"It's an honor to receive our sixth Best of the Best gold medal this year for the Elementary division" says Dr. Ole Jorgenson, head of school. "It's a credit to our teachers who shape the excitement, fun, and rigor in their classes, and I'm very grateful to our families for voicing their enthusiasm through their Best of the Best votes. All this support inspires us to make Almaden Country School even better for the children we serve!"

ACDS has been discovering the gifts in every child for more than 30 years. This highly regarded south San Jose independent school offers programs for students from 4 years of age through 8th grade. Its teaching philosophy is based on the knowledge that each child has unique capabilities and talents.

ACDS is known for helping each child find their passion, whether it's academics, arts or science.

"We have three children at ACDS; one went from being shy with separation anxiety to transforming into an active participant who couldn't wait to get to school, another refused to perform on stage and now has the confidence to bring his character to life and our oldest has maintained his cheery happiness and compassion while becoming a responsible young adult," said Dave Matsumoto, parent and board trustee for the school. "We attribute much of it to the environment that ACDS offers."
