High School Acceptance

Are Almaden Country Day School students prepared for high school and beyond? Absolutely!

On average over the past decade, 98% of ACDS graduates who apply to rigorous private high schools are admitted to the schools of their choice. Following the ACDS emphasis on well-roundedness, once in high school ACDS students become involved in all areas of school life. They distinguish themselves academically and in school life, taking Honors and Advanced Placement courses, participating in athletics, speech and debate, performing arts and clubs, receiving service awards and earning scholarships to selective colleges and universities.

While ACDS is a small school, we're proud to claim numerous valedictorians at the private and public high schools our graduates attend.

Ultimately, the ACDS result that's most significant has to do with the character of the young people blossoming in our classrooms, on stage and on the playing fields. School administrators at the high schools ACDS alumni attend consistently describe our students as:

  • "Well-prepared"
  • "Poised"
  • "Confident"
  • "Strong public speakers"
  • "Adaptable"
  • "Intellectually curious"
  • "Positive"
  • "Well-rounded"
  • "Involved in all aspects of school life"

These testimonials speak to qualities in ACDS students that we value most. We believe that great schools are measured not just by the accomplishments of their students, but by the lives their alumni lead.

Our graduates will be attending several different local high schools in the fall, both public and private.
