Sarah (Sendig) Laone ’05 and David Laone ’05, along with their three-year-old son David III, welcomed Taylor Fay on May 17, 2024, at 4:18 pm. She weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz. and measured 18.5 inches at birth.

Jamie (Leonard) Finnie ’07 married Chris Finnie on October 12, 2024, at MacArthur Place Hotel in Sonoma, nestled in the heart of wine country during the harvest season. Surrounded by 80 of their closest friends and family, they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony officiated by Chris’ brother, Jon. Instead of having a ring bearer, their mothers honored them with a ring-warming ritual. The celebration continued with an outdoor dinner, where they were treated to a surprise rain shower, creating a memorable evening. Jamie’s sister, Sami Leonard Kaufman ’03, served as the matron of honor, while her best friend, Rachel Bovenizer ’07, acted as the maid of honor.

Maya Kaul, PhD ’09, received the 2025 James D. Anderson Outstanding Dissertation Award from the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE). “This award honors excellence in doctoral dissertation research, or its equivalent, that contributes to the knowledge base of educator preparation or teaching and learning, with implications for educator preparation.” (EdPrepMatters) Maya is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.
Matthew Ashley ’09 got engaged to Corinne Breuil last year, and they plan to marry in Napa Valley this September. Matthew and Corinne met in Campbell in 2017. He proposed in San Francisco, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. Matthew is a Partner at Ascend Logistics and serves as the VP of Sales and Marketing while also fulfilling his role as Director of Business Development at JIT Transportation. Corinne has worked at Google for two years as an Influencer Relations lead.

Gavin Drucker ’10 passed unexpectedly on November 23, 2024, due to a pulmonary embolism at 29 years of age. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Gloria, and his sister, Natalie ’12. Doug wrote that “Gavin loved ACS, as it was known then. It was his home away from home, a cocoon of learning and growing." Read more about Gavin.
