Class of 2008

Anusha Praturu '08 has been living in New York and working at NBC-Universal since graduating from Cal Poly SLO four years ago. In her current role as manager of marketing analytics, she’s excited to be part of Peacock launch (the company's new streaming service). Anusha is also earning her Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS) at UC Berkeley, which she expects to complete at the end of 2020. She’s excited to be moving back to the west coast this summer to be closer to her family and friends.

Class of 2010

Haley Weiner '10  has worked at Stanford Hospital in nursing for the past two years and will be entering a master’s degree program in physician assistant studies at Stanford University this fall.'

Class of 2011

Anoop Praturu '11 will start his PhD program in theoretical biophysics at UC San Diego this fall after he hikes the Condor Trail from Ventura to Monterey. In the year after his graduation from the UC Santa Barbara College of Creative Studies, Anoop worked for a startup company, Invoca, doing research in artificial intelligence and linguistics, and programming computers to understand spoken languages.

Class of 2012

Margherita (Titti) Bassi '12 graduated summa cum laude from the Robert J. Morrissey School of Arts and Sciences at Boston College, earning a BA in English with a concentration in creative writing, and minors in French and ancient civilizations. She won the Boston College McCarthy Award, an award given annually for the best collection of creative writing pieces. In September she will attend a Columbia School of Journalism Publishing course, held at Exeter College, Oxford, UK.

Hannah Conradt '12 is currently a junior at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where she’s been on the Dean’s List every semester. Among her many projects, Hannah took on costuming an entire two-cast New York City-based production of The Barber of Seville. Tune in to the fall edition of the Alumni Newsletter for more.

Natalie Drucker '12 graduated from Cal Poly SLO, spent two years on the NCAA Division I track team at Cal Poly and pledged membership to Sigma Kappa. Natalie studied abroad for a semester in San Sebastián, Spain, where she continued to learn and love the Spanish language and culture. Natalie has worked as a certified phlebotomist over the past 3 years in research, preparing clinical hours for a Physician’s Assistant graduate program. She created the Pay It Forward/Cadena de Favores program as her senior project to implement in an underserved community. She was a primary researcher and phlebotomist for the Women & Infants’ Mobile Health Unit, which provides medical care for low income and uninsured woman and infants in the Santa Maria and Guadalupe areas. Natalie is currently taking an exam to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) to advocate for public health in the community. She then plans to pursue a career as a Physician’s Assistant and specialize in primary care for underserved populations.

Sidney Fryhoff '12 will pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching and Teaching Credential at Santa Clara University. While at the University of Oregon, Sidney was on the Dean’s List for multiple quarters and was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Danielle Knell '12 graduated from Cal Poly SLO in March. She will be working in cyber security for Deloitte.

Mackenzie Knox '12 graduated from Boston University and will be spending the summer in an internship at the New England Aquarium as a docent and research assistant on whale watching cruises. This will be her second internship with the NEAQ, her first was working in the penguin exhibit, which features over 70 penguins!

Joshua Vincent '12 will be pursuing a master’s degree in biocomputation at Santa Clara University this fall.

Erin Weiner '12 made the Dean’s List throughout her college career at Cal Poly SLO and received a grant for her marine research from the California Coastal Conservancy. She’s interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Marine Physiology.

Class of 2016

Ryan Baum '16 received St. Francis High School’s Academic Excellence Award in Social Studies at the Senior Honors Assembly and graduated maxima cum laude.

Taylor Bazella '16 received the Dean’s Scholarship from Chapman University and graduated magna cum laude from St. Francis High School where she participated in drama all four years.

RJ Cho '16 will wrestle for Menlo College in the fall after graduation from Pioneer High School.

Connor Cormier '16 will attend Menlo College on a wrestling scholarship. He was awarded Leland High School’s Outstanding Speaker Award and Tristan Nguyen Award for exhibiting a “great attitude, is a great teammate, and displays outstanding character on a daily basis” and was wrestling team captain in junior and senior years.

Aaron Fenton '16 played football for Bellarmine all four years and was awarded the Minds Move Mountains Scholarship.

Julia Hayden '16 graduated from Shanghai American School where she performed in her high school musical Shrek this year.

Jaden Hochroth '16 was a National Merit Society Member, a member of the International Thespian Society, and is receiving awards for academic distinction from Notre Dame San Jose.

Juliette Jorgenson '16 was the Head of Publicity for TEDxSaintFrancis, a member of the Foreign Language Honors Society and graduated magna cum laude. She was the National Anthem vocalist for Saint Francis athletics events and a Student Ambassador. She also created her own business to directly support the Coral Reef Alliance, a marine conservation non-profit located in the Bay Area. Juliette hopes to teach overseas after majoring in education and minoring in nutrition at Chapman.

Katelyn Lohbeck '16 graduated from Presentation High School and also graduated from her dance studio where she has danced for the last fifteen years.

Nick Maranowski '16 graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School with honors and was a president of the nationally ranked AMHS Speech and Debate team which has won the state championships four years running. Nick represented AMHS at both the state and national levels.

Zack Marks '16 has enjoyed the camaraderie of the Bellarmine Ice Hockey team over the past four years, volunteered to teach ice skating for children with disabilities and worked as an ice hockey referee.

Kait McLaughlin '16 played varsity volleyball for St. Francis High School and graduated cum laude.

Alex Muret '16 plays lead guitar in a local band, Crosswalk, found on Spotify and Apple music, and graduated from Leland High School.

Gabriella Pace '16 was actively involved in Presentation High School’s nationally-ranked competitive dance team.

Tom Patterson '16 earned a spot on Pioneer High School's All-Academic Team and also completed the maximum six AP classes.

Maxine Ribbs '16 was awarded Arizona State University’s Dean's Scholarship in Communications/Politics/Law and graduated from Notre Dame San Jose.

Aaron Rossi '16 received the following Bellarmine awards: the Matteo Ricci Award (11th) for making lasting contributions to the school’s broad spectrum of co-curricular activities while maintaining outstanding academics; the Blue Standard Carillon (12th) for representing the greatest qualities of the class of 2020; and the Ron Suarez Award (12th) for raising the spirits of his peers and bringing hope in often unnoticed acts of compassion.

Sidd Sabata '16 was on St. Francis High School’s High Honor Roll for four years and graduated maxima cum laude.

Weston Snyder '16 was honored as an Archbishop Mitty High School’s California Scholarship Federation seal bearer and achieved Eagle Scout rank last January.
