The Parent Service Auxiliary (PSA) is comprised of parents passionate about building community here at ACDS. The focus of PSA is to honor well-loved traditions and create joyful new experiences for students, parents, faculty and staff.
This year we have many opportunities to participate on campus. Whether you have an hour or want to chair an event, there are many ways to get involved. Current and future opportunities include:
- Room Parents
- Class Historians
- All School Events - Pumpkin Carving, Thanksgiving Feast, Carnival
- Book Fairs
- Faculty Appreciation
- And many more!
You can help support the PSA and ACDS community by volunteering your time. Please check out iVolunteer to see how you can help! If you have any questions, you can connect with the specific event contact listed on iVolunteer, or feel free to reach out to your PSA President, Jennifer Billante, at email@example.com.

No Food in Classrooms Please
To protect our students with serious (even life-threatening) food allergies, we ask that parents not bring food of any sort into the classrooms for the children to eat. This includes birthday celebrations (we will do games, songs, puzzles etc., and celebrate without the food).
As an exception, from time to time, certain teachers may include food as part of an instructional lesson, illustrating regional cuisine in a language class for example. These teachers will check with our allergy coordinator, Mrs. White, to make sure the food is safe for everyone in the class.
To update your child’s medical and allergies information, please follow the below:
Medical Information: Please make certain your student's medical insurance, medicines taken, and medical conditions are all current in Veracross.
If your student has a food allergy, please use the "Medical Action Plan" form that is available under your child's profile in the School Admin Parent Portal (look under "Internal & Optional Items").
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep all of our students safe.
High School Information Night
Wednesday, September 14, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. - please note the change of TIME
Location: Zoom - please note the change of LOCATION, as this is now occurring online
The program will include advice from Administration and a panel of ACDS alumni about choosing a high school, the private high school application process, and how ACDS prepares our students for high school.
8th grade: Attendance is required for those who want to apply to a private high school and is optional but encouraged for those who plan to attend public school.
7th grade: 7th grade students and parents can learn from our alumni panel about their high school experiences and get a general sense of the private school application and local public school options.
THANK YOU, PSA!
Thank you to the PSA for coordinating our back-to-school social activities despite the incredible heat! From cooling off our kiddos at Greystone Park, booking Kona Ice for middle school, setting up lemonade parties, and creating a delicious spread for our all-parent social on the first day of school, our PSA was busy helping all of us reconnect and make new friends.
LOVING THE NOW. READY FOR NEXT.
