October 3-7 is Cougar Pride Week, and our students will have the opportunity to have fun while expressing their school spirit. Each day there is a different theme, and at the end of the week, we Cougars participate in the Cougar Pep Rally and Cougar Games. After the Friday morning Cougar Pep Rally, students will begin participating in a series of physical challenges broken out by Buddy Group. Big buddies will assist their little buddies in accomplishing the tasks, and little buddies will cheer on their big buddies to victory. Grade-level, class color t-shirts will be distributed next week and will be worn on Friday, October 7, and also on select days throughout the year as decided by the division head or teachers. Parent volunteers will be needed to assist with setup, staffing, and clean up for Cougar Games on Friday, October 7. Signups for volunteer shifts will open next week. Monday, October 3 Silly Sock Day (with school uniforms) Tuesday, October 4 Favorites Day - Share your passion, be it a hobby, favorite band, favorite Broadway show, sports team, and more (with uniform bottoms) Wednesday, October 5 PJ Day* (no uniform required) *Please choose PJs that adhere to the general uniform guidelines and allow students to participate fully in the school day. Regular shoes should be worn (not slippers, Crocs, flip flops, etc.). Thursday, October 6 Favorite Color or Tie-Dye Day - Wear your favorite color or tie-dye tops and/or bottoms (no uniform required) Friday, October 7 Cougar Pep Rally and Cougar Games (Students wear class color shirt, gym shorts, and athletic shoes) |

Morning Care Reminders If you plan to use morning care for your child, please arrive prior to 7:40 AM, otherwise your child is arriving when everyone else is packing up to transition to their classrooms. If you arrive after 7:40 AM, please walk your child to the classroom and wait for the classroom door to open. Thank you! High School Information Night Recording Our high school information night was chock-full of helpful tips, advice, first-hand experiences, and guidance for our students who are considering applying to private high schools. If you would like to watch the recording, it is linked here and can also be found on the Applying to High School page of our website. Calling All Sibling Applications! Applications will be open for the 2023-24 school year on November 1, 2022. If you are considering ACDS for another one of your children for next year, apply online by December 15 for an early decision. Please use the restrooms in the Fisher Event Center lobby or in the Front Office to “take care of business.” The bathrooms on the Hunt Blacktop are only for students. Thank you!
