The Annual Giving Campaign - Week 3 of 5

Every dollar raised during the campaign helps resource ACDS's outstanding educational and enrichment programs, as well as employ the quality teachers and staff who create the nurturing, educational experience in which our Cougars thrive. Remember, it's not too late to apply for a matching gift from your company. Every dollar helps! You can click here to see if your donation is eligible for a company match through your employer.

RSVP for our special “Setting Limits with Kids” parent workshop with Sheri Glucoft Wong

Many of us count down the days for our chance with parenting expert and longtime family therapist Sheri Glucoft Wong, so we did the math for you. In just 13 days, we will host Sheri for an in-person parent workshop centered around her most requested topic: Setting Limits with Kids. In addition to her presentation and live Q&A, she and Dr. J will sign their new co-authored book, “Raising Kids.” Every ACDS family who attends this evening event will receive a complimentary copy.

And for the first-time ever, this event will be open to beyond the ACDS community -- if you would like to invite friends, please share this link with them to RSVP. Space is limited so please RSVP by or before Halloween.

School Portrait Gallery Opening Tonight

Thank you for your patience. The gallery was originally slated to open this morning, but due to a system-wide glitch with the hosting company, the gallery is now expected to be open by this evening. A separate email will be sent with access instructions.

REMINDER: Picture Retake Day is Thursday, October 27.

Uniform Exchange and Lost & Found

The seasons are changing, and the sweatshirts are piling up! Be sure to regularly check the Lost & Found racks (in DuVall Courtyard, outside the Auditorium) to rescue your items.

If you need to augment your student’s uniform, please take advantage of the Uniform Exchange, a free service to all of our families. You may take what you need as well as donate gently-used items for others to use. The Uniform Exchange is open 8am - 3pm. Please stop by the office to sign in and get directions.

Leadership Opportunities Available!

PSA is still looking for a chair or co-chair for the Spring Talent Show and Shadows for the Thanksgiving Feast and End of Year Carnival. If you aren't ready to be a chair this year, but think you could do it next year, sign up to shadow an event. Work with this year's chairs, so you know the ins and outs of an event and can run it in the 2023-24 school year. Reach out to Marna Grigorieff, PSA Volunteer Coordinator, if you have questions or want to sign up.

Thank you!

What was that mouthwatering aroma on campus this past Tuesday? The hot pasta bar set up for the Teacher Luncheon from 2nd & 3rd Grade! Thank you to all of our 2nd and 3rd grade parents AND to our PSA Staff Appreciation Luncheon Co-Chairs, Melissa Turnbull and Sandie Ettinger, for coordinating and bringing the faculty and staff together to enjoy a hot lunch on a cool day. Our hearts and stomachs are full!
