Extended Care for Middle School

Middle School Activities, Sports & Homework

MASH, our after-school program for students in grades 5-8, offers students a chance to get their homework done after school and free up more evening time, as well as providing opportunities for activities and socializing. MASH also accommodates participation in after-school sports and clubs. You can sign your children up for MASH from 3-5 days per week, as well as on a drop-in basis if space is available.

Hours of Operation

Regular School Days Monday - Friday | 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
School Holidays & Teacher's In-Service Days Closed
Most Minimum Tuesdays End of School - to 6 p.m.

Philosophy and Activities

MASH offers students the opportunity to do homework, socialize, play on the blacktop and take part in various activities appropriate to this age. Students can participate in ACDS after-school clubs and sports, and then rejoin the MASH program when those activities are done.

During MASH, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 3:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., 5th-8th grade students can participate in a quiet, structured time to get started on homework, set up a time to work with a teacher, collaborate with a group, or make up a test.

The program is supervised and administered by an ACDS staff member. Students should bring their own snack to MASH.

Who Can Attend

MASH is for students in grades 5th-8th. To reserve a spot, students may enroll in MASH for a minimum of three days per week or attend on a drop-in basis (first-come, first-served) as space allows.

If you have questions about MASH, please contact Head of Middle School, Jeremy Adams. For rates, please visit the information page.
