Week 1 | June 17 - 21 | 9 am- 12 pm

Forensics (Entering Grades 4-6)

Calling all budding scientists and aspiring investigators! Join us for an unforgettable adventure where the world of science collides with the thrill of solving mysteries. In this camp, we'll learn how to read fingerprints, determine blood type and use DNA analysis to solve crimes through hands-on experiments, cunning puzzles, and heart-pounding investigations.

Mythical Adventures: Unleashing Creativity Through Stories and Art (Entering Grades 4-6)

Welcome to "Mythical Adventures," an exciting and immersive mythology class designed especially for curious minds in fourth to sixth grade! In this magical journey, students will delve into the fascinating world of myths and legends from different cultures around the globe. This camp is not just about learning stories; it's about living them through acting and expressing the imagination through art projects.

Week 1 | June 17 - 21 | 12:45 - 3:45 pm

Applying Math (Entering Grades 4-6)

Camp Leader: Misbah Cochinwala

In this math camp, campers can enjoy freedom while still stretching their brains. We will explore numbers, engineering, measurements, and more with structured math activities or ask the right questions to evoke mathematical thinking in almost any activity! Activities may include outdoor number lines, finding symmetry in nature, paper frisbee geometry, build a marble run, Lego math, skewer structures, and math art with parabolic curves. Each day, the children will be introduced to a new game, encouraging them to develop their math skills.

Podcast Party (Entering Grades 4-6)

Camp Leader: Lauren Robb

Campers will embark on a journey of research and podcast creation. This hands-on program gives campers the chance to use both critical thinking and creativity as they explore the world of podcasting. Campers will pick a topic they are interested in, conduct their own research, and create their very own podcast to share with their peers at the end of the week. Join the Podcast Party today!

Coding Algorithms (Entering Grades 4-6)

Camp Leader: Misbah Cochinwala

In this camp, campers will explore basic coding skills by applying them to STEM projects and playing games that give children a foundational understanding of how codes work. Campers will play binary games, algorithm games, make playing boards for each other, and explore various LEGO coding activities using basic bricks. Each day, makers will be given a specific project to teach the use of new tools and materials.

Week 3 | July 8 - 12 | 9 am- 12 pm

Engineering Adventures (Entering Grades 3-5)

Does your child enjoy designing? Could he or she be a future engineer? Well, this summer consider Engineering Adventures. Children will participate in a series of five adventures that will transport your child to Thailand for the week. Participants will receive a message that presents an engineering challenge to be solved. Challenges relate to designing, creating, and packing a simulated relief package that will sustain a fall of at least five feet. This camp will support your child in communicating and collaborating with others in a fun and active way while building their problem-solving skills.

Ocean Exploration (Entering Grades 1-3)

A mix of playful ocean activities will engage kids, even if they are not near the ocean. They will experiment with the possibility of dissolving shells, exploring beach erosion, marine biomes, icy ocean melt, and crystal shells. Children will create an ocean floor, ocean water, sea life, the sky, and even some fluffy clouds in the Ocean Science Density Experiment to understand the environment while enjoying hands-on activities.

Poetic Inspiration (Entering Grades 1-3)

Camp Leader: Kylie Dervaes

Welcome to Poetic Inspiration, a camp for budding wordsmiths to explore the vast realm of poetry and discover the unique cadence of their own voices. We will invite students to step into the world of free association and free-form poetry, unlocking the power of self-expression through the art of language. We will make inspiration concrete for our young campers. For example, we may start the day with a basket of sensory items such as shells or stones, and ask each student to describe what they see, feel, and what patterns they notice. Their creativity will flow from there and we will always open the floor to share their poems if they choose.

Week 4 | July 15 - 19 | 9 am- 12 pm

Summer Storytellers (Entering Grades 4-6)

“Summer Storytellers” will immerse campers in a captivating week-long program where campers will explore short stories, analyze their components, and craft their own imaginative tales. This camp will provide a dynamic and supportive environment for campers to stretch their imaginations, experience the writing and revision process, and build confidence in sharing ideas and stories with peers.

Week 5 | July 22 - 26 | 9 am- 12 pm

Playing with Numbers (Entering Grades 1-3) [FULL]

This camp is crafted for children who have a passion for math as well as those who may feel a bit uncertain about it. Our engaging program incorporates a mix of interactive games, intriguing number puzzles, and hands-on activities to nurture and enhance mathematical skills. As a highlight, participants will have the opportunity to create their own math-themed game to take home, adding a fun and personalized touch to their learning experience. Each day unfolds with the introduction of a new game, designed to inspire children to develop and strengthen their numeracy skills. Tailored to individual developmental levels, our activities cover a spectrum of mathematical concepts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and place values. It's a dynamic and supportive environment where every child can confidently embrace the world of math.

Wacky Advertising Agency (Grades 3-6)

Camp Leader: Mike Fishback

This camp throws creative, persuasive, hilarious kids into an advertising agency together to plan, rehearse, and film commercial parodies for original fake products. We’ll analyze the time-tested techniques of actual ads and evaluate the humor in SNL-style spoof ads before embarking on our own comedic exploits. Our camper-produced ads will be fun and zany but will also provide us with a new critical perspective on what companies try to sell us.

Sensory Science (Entering Grades 1-3) [FULL]

Come explore your senses in this science based camp! Sensory activities are important for kids for a lot of reasons. They help children experience touch, sight, smell, taste, and hearing in ways they may not have experienced before and, most importantly, identify and apply their learning to their everyday experiences. Kids who join will learn to make foam, play dough, make colored rice, make magic mud, and more!
