At ACDS Performing Arts Camps, campers are invited to explore, create, and shine through dynamic, hands-on experiences in music, dance, and theater.

From experimenting with rhythm and melody in Sound Lab: Music Makers Camp, to collaborating and performing in Amped-Up Rock Band Camp, students build musical skills while developing confidence and teamwork. Dancers jump into movement and expression in our Triple Threat Dance Jam: Ballet, Jazz & Hip Hop, learning foundational techniques across styles in an energetic, supportive environment. Theater enthusiasts bring stories to life in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, gaining experience in acting, singing, staging, and live performance.

Across all offerings, ACDS Performing Arts Camps emphasize creativity, collaboration, and joyful self-expression, empowering students to discover their voice, move with purpose, and take the stage with confidence.

Summer Spotlight: Performing Arts Conservatory Presents "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown"

A Collaborative Musical Theater Experience

Happiness is… finding your light on stage! This July, we are bringing the beloved world of Charles M. Schulz to life with a special multi-age production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Under the guidance of Camp Leaders Trevor Miller, Sofia Rosas, and Tim Ford, this unique program combines two distinct age groups into one spectacular cast. We offer two tracks designed to give every camper their moment to shine, culminating in a fully costumed live performance on the final day.

Choose Your Track:

  • The Lead Cast & Production Track (Rising Grades 5–8): This 3-week immersive program begins July 6. Older campers will experience the full production lifecycle—from auditions and character development to taking on lead roles. They will also serve as leaders and mentors to the younger ensemble.

  • The Ensemble Track (Rising Grades 2–4): This 2-week experience begins July 13. Younger campers join the production in progress, working alongside the older students to learn ensemble roles, stage presence, and the magic of musical theater in a supportive, mentorship-based environment.

Week 1:
Peanuts On Stage: Step into the world of Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, and the whole Peanuts gang in Week 1 of our theater production camp! This foundational week focuses on the building blocks of putting on a show as campers prepare for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Campers will participate in age-appropriate auditions, learning how to project their voice, express character, and take creative risks in a supportive environment. From there, students will dive into character development, exploring motivations, movement, and personality to truly “get into character.” The week also introduces blocking, as campers learn how to move with purpose on stage, understand spacing, and work together to bring scenes to life.

Week 2:
Peanuts On Stage Week 2 brings the full Peanuts world to life as 2nd–4th grade campers join the production as the ensemble cast, working alongside the 5th–8th grade lead cast in a collaborative, mentorship-based theater experience. Younger performers are guided by older students as they learn ensemble roles, stage presence, and performance etiquette, while lead cast members strengthen their leadership and mentoring skills. Campers continue developing characters, refining blocking, and beginning group scenes and musical numbers, with a focus on teamwork, listening, and confidence on stage. Through rehearsals, theater games, and shared reflection, this week emphasizes community, responsibility, and the magic of working together to tell a story.

Week 3:
Peanuts On Stage Final Week: In the final week, the excitement builds as campers bring the Peanuts gang to life on the stage! Students will explore technical elements of theater, including lighting, sound, and set transitions, gaining hands-on experience in how a production comes together behind the scenes. The week continues with a full dress rehearsal, allowing campers to practice their lines, songs, choreography, and blocking in costume, while polishing timing and stage presence. The culmination of their hard work is the live performance, where campers showcase their creativity, teamwork, and dedication to family and friends. This week emphasizes confidence, collaboration, and the thrill of live theater, leaving campers with lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment as they step into the spotlight.
