We are passionate about what we do at Almaden Country Day School, but you don't have to take our word for it. From our alumni to current students and families, the ACDS community is enthusiastic about our teachers, programs, and learning experiences.
We are also the proud recipient of multiple Gold Medals in the Preschool, Elementary School, and Middle School categories of the Bay Area Parent "Best of the Best" survey, as well as earning recognition as Best Private School in our area from Hulafrog.com and Parent's Press.

"Phenomenal place to learn and grow. My son is thrilled to go to school every day and has blossomed. As an educator myself, I am in awe of their enriching, and creative curriculum and their wise, nurturing and committed teachers. This school is truly special and we feel lucky every day to be there."
— ROLAND W., ACDS GRADUATED FAMILY
"My daughter graduated from ACDS in 2013. She was exceedingly well prepared for high school and was accepted by several private schools in the area. At ACDS she learned not only the subject matter, but also how to learn. The teachers and staff are very engaged not only with the classroom but also each individual student. My daughter came home every night eager to work on her homework and expand her learning.
The administrative team, led by Head of School Dr. Olaf (Ole) Jorgenson, is very experienced and always looking for ways to improve the educational experience. They are great communicators and always open to discussion and new ideas.
My daughter now attends U.C. Berkeley and is well prepared for the heavy workload and competitive environment. She has a good sense of work/life balance and is very successful. There is no doubt that she received a solid education at ACDS balanced with teamwork and plenty of time to just be a kid!
I wholeheartedly recommend ACDS for those seeking a great school that will provide a safe, comprehensive, well rounded education for their child in a very supportive environment."
— AARON A., ACDS ALUMNUS ('97) AND CURRENT FAMILY
"I absolutely can not say enough good things about Almaden Country Day School. I could not have found a better fit for my two daughters and our family. ACDS has provided my daughters a safe place to learn and are thriving in a classroom setting. My oldest daughter has been attending ACDS since preschool and is now in Kindergarten and she LOVES to go to school. She feels safe there. She feels confident there. She has built long lasting friendships and has grown up so much, not just academically but also emotionally and socially, in just those 3 short years. ACDS teaches to the "whole child" which I love...the students are so well rounded. The teachers are amazing, the administration is great and welcoming, and the parents are so friendly and open. It's truly an amazing school and I couldn't be more happy with ACDS. I am beyond elated that my girls are getting the opportunity to learn and grow at such a supportive and well rounded school."
— SCOTT, ACDS GRADUATED FAMILY
"My daughter recently graduated from Almaden Country Day School (8th grade), after attending since 3rd grade. When I first read about ACDS, I was impressed with their approach toward education -- it isn't just academics, it's partnering with the parents to raise a person with integrity, responsibility, self-determination and respect for self and others. Over the years, I found that approach to be unwavering. If I were to go back to my daughter's third-grade year and have the opportunity to select a school for her based on what I know now, I would select ACDS again without hesitation."
Without ACDS, I would not be the person I am today. They prepared me for everything in life. Not only did ACDS help shape my personality but it helped to unlock my creativity. I am proud to say I am a student of Almaden Country Day School and no matter where life takes me I’ll always have ACDS to thank for making me, me REESE PASQUINELLI, CLASS OF 2017
Almaden Country Day School absolutely helped prepare me for high school and life. I still remember my "Keys of Kindness" [Thank you, Please, Excuse me, I'm sorry, You're welcome, and Let's share] and the lesson to be open to everything and everyone.
